Sick Again

My poor boys are sick again. They both have really bad colds and double ear infections. Mason has a cough too and Spencer has a sinus infection. Even Tim isn't feeling well. He had today off and went to the doctor. He also has a sinus infection. Fortunately (knock on wood), I feel pretty good. I kept Mason home from school today since he was coughing so much, but plan on sending him tomorrow. He was disappointed that he had to miss.

Anyhow, I wanted to add a bunch of pictures taken with my NEW new camera. I sent back the D60 and upgraded to the D80. The D60 just couldn't do everything that I wanted it to do. I love the D80. Enjoy the pictures from the past month.

1st Day of Preschool

Technically, yesterday was Mason's first day, but it was only for a half hour and Mommy stayed. Today was his official day, ALL BY HIMSELF. He was so excited. He couldn't wait this morning to get out the door. I have never been prouder. I dropped him off with no problems and when I picked him up, he had a smile and his teacher said he did great. She said he had wonderful manners and always said, "excuse me" when he wanted to say something. He loved the fact that they got to play on the playground and he said they listened to the story, SPOT GOES TO SCHOOL. He played with the trains and they even celebrated a little girl's birthday. She brought fruit snacks which he said were very yummy. He can't wait to go back next week. He even has a little homework to do with Mommy and Daddy. My boy is growing up. Enjoy the pictures that I took yesterday.

Labor Day Fun

We had some friends and family over on Labor Day for a cookout. We were happy that everyone could make it. It was a lot of fun. You'll notice that I'm not in any pictures. I meant to have someone take a picture of our family too. Oh well.

Needed a picture of the 3 boys.
It's a lot harder to get them to all
sit still now that they are all crawling.
This is as good as it gets.

Hand, Foot, Mouth

If you have ever had a child with Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease, you know that it can be terribly painful for them. Unfortunately, my boys ended up catching this last week. Mason came down with a fever on Friday and fortunately for him he never developed any blisters on his hands, feet, or in his mouth. By Sunday morning he was fever free. Poor Spencer on the other hand, came down with a fever yesterday. I had to take Mason in for his school physical and had the doctor check Spencer's mouth and sure enough it was covered with blisters. He had a very hard time sleeping last night and today he hasn't had much milk or anything to eat. The poor little guy is just miserable. I feel terrible for him. Anyhow, be sure to wash everyone's hands and keep toys clean. My doctor said that she has seen a lot of this in the past month or so.

On another note, Mason is almost 40 inches tall and is 31 lbs (he's been the same weight for quite some time). He is very excited about starting school. He only wishes that he could ride the bus like the other kids in the neighborhood. I'm sure the next two years will fly by and he'll be on that bus before he knows it.

Facebook Addiction

I know it's been awhile since I've posted anything. It seems like anytime I have a free moment, I'm glued to Facebook. I have had fun reconnecting with so many from my hometown. If you aren't on Facebook, you should sign up. It is a lot of fun.

On another note, we have been keeping busy. We had a garage sale a couple of weekends ago and we have had a lot of playdates. Trying to see everyone before school starts. Oh, speaking of school, Mason got into a morning class. I am soooo happy. It should work out nicely. He will go Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 9:00 to 11:30. I am excited for him (and for my quiet time). He will start the day after Labor Day.

Pictures from our last playdate before school starts. We have had so much fun getting together with my cousin, *M and her son, *N and our friends, the *D's.

Click on this picture to see Spencer's new thing he does.
He crinkles up his nose and does this sniffing thing.
He is just too cute for words.

Also, my wonderful husband, let me get a new camera. I couldn't believe that he agreed to it. After giving my sister her camera back, I felt lost without the quality of a good camera. So I ended up with the Nikon D60 (a step below what my sister had). I really love the camera, although the lens it came with is pretty cheap. So my pictures aren't quite up to par, but should look a lot better after my new lens comes (I am buying one off of my sister that she no longer uses).

Enjoy the pictures!!!!!!

We went over to our neighbor's this past Saturday, to help him celebrate his 42nd birthday. Mason had a lot of fun and if you can tell, Tim did too. He was right there with the kids playing on the trampoline. What a kid at heart!

Spencer loves to swing at the park.
He just laughs and laughs as he swings.

...and on one last note, I must share a couple of funny things that Mason has said in the past week.

He told Tim, "I think you need your eyes checked." I don't remember what we were talking about, but it was funny and an appropriate thing to say at the time.

Then yesterday, we were playing up in Spencer's room and had quite a few toys out. Mason said, "I think we better put some of this crap away." I tried not to laugh and told him that that word was a grown up word and he should not say it. He said OK. I guess Tim and/or I must say that.

August already

It's hard to believe that it is August already. Where has the summer gone? We enjoyed having Nana and Grandpa up here last week. Mason misses them already and can't wait to see them at Christmas. We also are planning on taking a trip there next April. Can't wait to see their new house and take the boys to the beach. Mason also can't wait to see Sophie (their dog).

Here are a few more pictures from our visit with Nana and Grandpa.

lunch with Grandpa at Choo Choo Johnny's while Nana had lunch with her friends

And a few more pictures for good measure.

BAD TO THE BONE
Thanks Abbey for the PJs!!!

My baby loves to stand now. I think he'll be walking before he crawls.
