Tummy Bug
Unfortunately, Mason has the tummy bug. It started last night around 6:30 and he/we were up the majority of the night. He seems to be keeping everything down today (Ginger Ale, crackers, and toast). He is sleeping again so hopefully he will be back to normal by tomorrow. Fortunately, this is Tim's day off so we both can catch up on some sleep and be here to comfort Mason. Boy did I luck out. Hope everyone else is staying healthy. Welcome to the season of illnesses.

Pumpkin Carving
Yesterday, Mason and I (Tim had to work) joined Dawn's
in-laws for their 9th Annual Pumpkin Carving. It was a
beautiful almost 80 degree day. The kids dressed up in
their Halloween costumes. Mason is a train conductor this
year (what a deal for Mommy, we already had the overalls
and only had to spend $5 for the hat, bandanna, and whistle).
He looked so cute. He decided that he wanted to carve a
train into his pumpkin, so I found a picture online and we
used it as our stencil. It was a fun day with family and
friends; good food, football, and of course the pumpkin
carving contest.

Pumpkin Patch
For some reason, it has taken me all week to post pictures from this past weekends trip to the Pumpkin Patch. On Sunday, we went with our neighbors to a farm that is only 10 minutes away. It looked like rain all day, but finally decided that if we were going to make it this year, we better go ahead and go. Mason had fun on the hayride and searching for the perfect pumpkin(s) in the patch. He would have liked to taken all of them home, but we stopped at 3. They had a corn maze that we went through. It was pretty unbelievable. This maze was huge. They had 8 stopping points to punch your map, we only found 2 and that was enough for the little ones. They also had a petting farm. There were lambs, goats, a cow, horses, a chicken, a duck, a huge rabbit, and a dog. Mason loved the animals, especially the baby goats. It was a fun afternoon. I love this stage of Mason's life, where he can enjoy all of these wonderful adventures.

This weekend, we are looking forward to the Doyle's Annual Pumpkin Carving. Dawn's in-laws are always so kind to invite our family to join them for these special traditions they have. We are looking forward to seeing Dawn and her family. I will try and update the blog at the beginning of next week with pictures of our pumpkins.

Mason is 3!
It's hard to believe that 3 years have gone by already. Mason celebrated his 3rd birthday this past weekend. It was a very small party. We invited over a couple of his neighbor friends and his cousin, Cavan. They are all big fans of Thomas, so it was the perfect theme. We started the festivities with presents and cupcakes. Mason got a lot of fun stuff and has been truly enjoying it all. We then let the boys play for awhile before heading to Choo Choo Johnny's for dinner. It is a fun restaurant for any train lover. Everyone had a great time.
*Dawn was kind enough to take pictures for me during the party. THANKS a bunch.

Mason's 3 year pictures and Maternity pictures
I am so fortunate to have such a talented sister as my photographer. Back a couple of weeks ago, Dawn came into town to take our family picture and Mason's 3 year picture. Unfortunately, Mason did not cooperate AT ALL for his pictures, yet Dawn still managed to get a couple of cute shots of him. She said she would try and take some more when she came into town for his birthday. So this past weekend, she tried again and once again my wonderful son did not cooperate. She finally convinced him to take some to surprise me while I got ready for my own pictures. She hasn't had a chance to proof all of them yet, but here is a sneak peak at what she got. *** I am almost 28 weeks in these pictures.

Big Boy Bed
Back on the 27th of September, we transitioned Mason into his Big Boy bed. It's been an adjustment. Mason has been an excellent sleeper since he was 6 months old. Unfortunately, the new bed was harder than I thought it would be. The first night he was up a couple of times and I finally just laid down with him (I was too exhausted to fight him). The next night went great. I went scrapbooking and Tim put him to bed. He slept all night and didn't get up until 6am the next morning. (Mason must have thought Mommy's gone and Daddy won't give in to my games.) This kid is way too smart. The next couple of nights were still rough and he insisted on us leaving a light on. With the light on, he slept until 6:15am the next morning. So I went out and bought a timer and a 15watt bulb. Now he sleeps with the light on and knows that he can't get out of bed until it goes off at 7am the next morning. Hopefully, we will eventually break him of the light, but until now, at least I am getting SOME sleep (it's hard to sleep when you are 28 weeks pregnant).
Here are a couple of pictures of him in his Big Boy bed. I still have to get him a bedskirt and another set of sheets.
