28 Weeks

I really can't believe that I'm 28 weeks along already. Baby girl is doing well. We are getting anxious to meet her. Last weekend her bedding arrived and Tim painted her room. We still need to get a new blind and some accessories but things are coming together nicely:) Here is just a self portrait of myself at 28 weeks:)

Mason's 1st Day of Kindergarten

I really can't believe that our first born was put on a bus today and sent off to kindergarten. He was really excited for this day. ******Excited to ride the bus, excited to make new friends, excited that his teacher is going to have a baby girl right before us, and excited to be at the big school with a cool gymnasium and library. Mason is truly a sweet sweet boy. Both Tim and I are so very proud of him and feel so very blessed to be his parents. I didn't cry at all when he got on the bus, but when going through the pictures to post and writing this out, I'm a bit teary-eyed. The house is sooooo quiet (although, that will all change in just a few months:) Spencer was sad that Mason was gone. He is napping now but can't wait to get his big brother off the bus this afternoon. I truly feel very blessed. I can't wait to hear all about Mason's 1st Day of Kindergarten:) Enjoy the pictures of my cutie:)

Model Rocket

So this past weekend, Tim took the boys to Hobby Lobby to get what they needed to launch a model rocket. This was something Tim did with his Dad when he was younger and he wanted to share the experience with our own boys. The boys were super excited to go Sunday morning for the launch. We went over the practice field at the high school for the launch. Tim got it all set up and the we did a countdown before BLAST OFF. Boy did that rocket fly. Tim had to walk 1/2 mile to go and get the pieces. It was a bit windy, so we only did one launch. The boys are anxious for Daddy to take them back out. Next time I'll video tape it, but for now enjoy a few pictures:)

Spencer's Big Boy Bed

The time has come to move Spencer out of his crib and into a big boy bed. I knew I wanted to make the transition for him before Mason started school in case it didn't go so well.

So this past weekend, I went furniture shopping for baby and found a great deal on 3 pieces at Babies R Us. So Sunday morning, I had a photo shoot for a friend. They brought their truck so that they could help Tim pick up the furniture. Tim worked hard that day taking apart the guest bed and the crib and moving the guest bed into Spencer's room to make room for baby's furniture. I did have to run out and get a bed rail and we borrowed one from Ms. Sara.

Finally, by 3:00 in the afternoon, Spencer's room was put together. He didn't end up taking a nap that day but did a wonderful job his 1st night in his big boy bed. His done great every nap and bedtime since. We couldn't be more proud of him. He loves his bed and being a BIG BOY:)

Baby Girl update

Isn't she cute? After 3 ultrasounds, the technicians were able to get all of the measurements they needed of our baby girl. After my 1st ultrasound, back on June 14th, she was measuring a bit small for what we thought her due date was. So I was asked to come back 4 weeks later. On July 12th, I had my second ultrasound and baby wasn't cooperating completely. She had her legs crossed and up by her chest. The technician wasn't able to get all of the measurements of her heart, abdomen and amniotic fluid, so I was asked to go back a week later for another try. This time baby cooperated and everything looked great. I even saw her opening and closing her mouth. So very sweet. Our new official due date is November 26, 2010 (the day after Thanksgiving). We are all super excited to meet this little girl. Mason loves her so much and talks to her daily. If she recognizes anyone's voice it will definitely be his. She is going to be one lucky little girl surrounded by lots of love.

4th of July weekend

This is always one of our favorite weekends. Unfortunately, things didn't quite go as planned. Spencer ended up sick on Saturday. Woke up having been sick to his stomach and had a fever that lasted all day.

Mason really wanted to still go to the fireworks on Saturday with our friends, The Schweigert's.


So after Spencer went to bed, the 2 of us went to the Plainfield fireworks. Daddy offered to stay home with Spencer. He wanted to watch the Patriot (he watches the movie every 4th. He is a very proud American:) Mason and I had a lot of fun. Plainfield does a great job. We look forward to going back every year. Hopefully a tradition with our great friends.


Spencer slept in until 8:30 on the 4th (that never happens). I had a photo shoot that morning for a good friend. When I got home, Spencer was fever free and acting more like himself:) Tim and I put together one of our favorite 4th of July meals (we make it almost every year), the savory sandwich ring and pasta salad. YUMMY! After naps, we ate dinner and got ready to go to Oswego. Unfortunately, it started raining:( Spencer was sad, he really wanted to go see the fireworks. Fortunately, the rain only lasted for a few minutes:)

We parked on a gravel lot across the street from where the fireworks were being put off. We brought chairs and opened the back of the car for the kids to sit in. The boys enjoyed throwing the little snaps and doing the party poppers.



Spencer was getting a bit antsy, I'm sure it was because he was tired. But finally the show went on and everyone made it without too much complaining. I got a lot of pictures of the fireworks:) I remembered all of the settings tonight to get the best pictures possible.

Mason's 1st Lost Tooth

So Mason's tooth has been loose since June 5th (he reminded me of the date this morning, how he remembers is so so crazy to me). Well, this morning it was really really loose. I had a feeling it was going to come out today. So I took his little tooth fairy pillow with us to tball field. I'm glad I did. Mason spent his time in the outfield wiggling his tooth. When it was time for them to come to bat, he came to get a drink of water. I checked his tooth and pinched it and it fell right out. He was soooo excited and so were all of the kids on his team. My baby sure is growing up.
