Mason's Fall Program

Yesterday was Mason's fall program at school. It was so cute and Mason did such an awesome job. He just seems so grown up now. The place was packed with parents, siblings, and grandparents. Unfortunately, I had a seat towards the very back so my pictures are not great at all. Oh well. I did video a couple of songs so that Tim could watch when he got home. I also ordered a copy of the program. They had a videographer there to capture the program. I know the grandparents will enjoy watching it when they come to visit. Anyhow, enjoy the song and the couple of pictures that turned out OK. The little girl in the pink dress is one of Mason's favorites. They play together everyday along with the little boy in the picture with Mason.

Happy Halloween

What an absolutely perfect Halloween Day. A beautiful 72 degrees and sunny. Tim got off work early so we were both here to take the boys trick-or-treating. After a couple of houses, Spencer and I came back to pass out all of our candy and Daddy took Mason around to collect some of his own goodies. Last year, Mason was satisfied with going to one house, this year he had fun going to as many houses as possible. He wasn't the least bit shy. Spencer had fun "helping" Mommy pass out the candy. Actually, he just liked digging through the bowl and finding the lollipops. I did let him have his first lollipop. I know BAD Mommy, but he loved it. Here are a couple of pictures.

Halloween Fun

This past Thursday, my sister and her kids came into town. We wanted to do some fun Halloween activities with the kids. My friend, Elizabeth and her kids joined us. First, the kids decorated craft pumpkins. We also tye-dyed shirts, ate cupcakes, and wrapped the kids like mummies. It was a lot of fun.

justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it
building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have
coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition We have polluted
the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We
have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it
enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us
from every sin and Set us free. Amen!'

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest
of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other
he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our
nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One
nation under God.'


I received this as an email and thought that it was very powerful. I thought I'd share it with my friends and family and be a reminder to myself.

Batman and Robin

When my sister, Dawn, came this past week, I had her take some photos of the boys in their Halloween costumes. I have other pictures to post from our "Halloween Party" with her and my friend, Elizabeth. I'll post those later.

Fall Frolic

Pictures of the kids playing in the leaves at the park after my family photo attempt. I used an action from the Pioneer Woman called fresh and colorful for the picture of Spencer with the hat. I LOVE the picture with PWs action.


A couple of updates on the boys. Unfortunately, they both have ear infections again. I had taken them to the doctor this past Friday for flu shots, but had to postpone those due to the fact that they had ear infections. Also, I was checking in Spencer's mouth on Sunday and noticed that his two top molars are coming through. Can you believe that? We have been enjoying the fall season so far with birthday parties, the apple orchard and pumpkin patch, and playing in the leaves. It's hard to believe that Halloween is just a week away and that November will be here before we know it. Hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather and beautiful fall foliage.
