Can it really be just 2 weeks away?

Just 2 weeks from today we will welcome little Spencer to our family. We are so excited to know that we will finally meet our little boy. Mason is excited and asks me daily if Spencer can come today. He is also excited that Aunt Barb is going to come and stay with him while we are at the hospital and Nana and Grandpa will be coming the next day. It is going to be a very special Christmas this year.

On another note, we got our first snow last night (besides a dusting last weekend). There is probably 3 inches or so on the ground and Mason can't wait to go out and play in it later. I will post some pictures later today or this evening. Stay warm and take care.

Black Friday Bowling

Black Friday Bowling is another Doyle (Dawn's in-laws)
tradition. Every year, they spend the day bowling instead
of shopping. For the past 3 Thanksgivings we have been

invited, but this was the first year that Mason and I actually
took part (Mason was sick the past two years). Mason had

a lot of fun. Bowling was exciting for about the first 3 frames,
but what was even more fun was being silly with his cousins,

Kiara and Cavan. He absolutely loves spending time with them.
I love that they have had so many opportunities in the past year
to play together. Family is so important and we feel very blessed
to be a part of the Doyle extended family. They are very loving
and thoughtful people.

Giving Thanks

We have so much to be thankful for this year. We are still in
our home and Tim has a great stable job. We are expecting
little Spencer to arrive in 3 weeks and 2 days. My dad is doing
great and feeling good. We have wonderful families and friends
that have been so supportive this past year. So if I have failed
to say thank you to each and everyone of you, know that deep
in my heart I feel so blessed to have you all in our lives.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We hosted (due
to the fact that I can no longer travel), but my mom and sisters
helped out tremendously. We all prepared something and it made
the day very relaxing. Tim was absolutely wonderful. He made
sure that everything was on schedule. I am so thankful to have
such a helpful husband that jumps in and helps out where ever
he is needed. Everything was delicious.

Mason loves having company and especially his cousins. He
loves playing with Kiara and Cavan and loves spending time with
Tabitha. I have attached a few pictures, although I will have to
get a lot of copies from my sister, Dawn.

Hope everyone else had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

December 19, 2007

Well, unless Spencer decides to come early on his own, his birthday will be 12/19/07. I had my doctor's appointment this morning and she said she would arrange for me to be induced on the 19th. This way Tim can still pick his parents up from the airport on the 20th and my sisters can come up to take care of Mason while we are in the hospital. It will be nice to all be home for Christmas.

Getting Spencer's Room Ready

Yesterday, Mason helped Tim paint Spencer's room. He was
so excited to help and we are trying to make him as much a
part of welcoming Spencer as we can. He has been so cute
talking about everything he is going to do to help and all the
things he is going to share with his little brother. I think Mason
is going to be a wonderful big brother and Spencer is going to be
lucky to have him.

We are almost finished with Spencer's room. His curtains should
be here by next week (they were on back order). I am picking up
the curtain rods on Thursday. There are a few things we still need
to get like: 2 shelves to hang over his changing table, a couple of
baskets, maybe a couple of pictures to hang on the wall, his
coming home outfit, and a few other misc. items. Overall, I am
feeling ready for his birth day. I am going to talk to my doctor on
Thursday about inducing before Christmas, see if we can pick a
date yet. I'll try and keep everyone updated.

Trick-or TrEAT

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween. Mason was excited to go trick-or
-treating, but was ready to come home after the 1st house. He thought if
we came home he could eat his treat and then go back out for more. I
bribed him with a lollipop to keep going. We ended up going to about a
dozen homes before heading home. He enjoyed eating the treats more
than getting them and he loved passing out the candy to the trick-or
-treaters. When Daddy got home from work, he went back out to couple
of more houses. Daddy was happy that he could take him too.

Can't wait to see everyones pictures of their trick-or-treaters.

New Job

On Monday, Tim started a new job, this time by choice. He had had 3 interviews with Charter One Bank for a Branch Manager position. Finally a little over a week ago he received an offer letter from them. The reason this job was so appealing compared to the job he had with Woodforest National Bank is mainly due to the better insurance. It also was a bonus that he would get 11 paid holidays and 3 weeks vacation (unlike the other bank which was open 364 days a year). The hours are better and he feels that he has finally found a good place for him. Mind you, we are still very thankful for the job he had at Woodforest. They gave him the opportunity to get out of the mortgage industry. We are feeling very thankful these days that things seem to be working out.
