My Boys

**Just an update from Spencer's 9 month appointment. He is now 21lbs 1oz and 28.75in.

First Family Photo Shoot

So, now that I have my new camera and I've been practicing taking better pictures (in manual mode), I offered a couple of my friends family photo shoots. So this past weekend, two of my friends took me up on my offer and here are some samples from the S* family. Out of 139 pictures, I have narrowed down my 15 favorites. I am also learning how to tweak the pictures in photoshop to make them look their best. I hope that they like what they see. I plan on playing around with the other 12 and even trying them in black and white. There are more to come, including pictures of the D* family and my boys. Let me know what you think (HINT HINT Dawn, Aunt Cheri, any other photographers taking a peek).

What happens in preschool......

stays in preschool . That's what Mason's shirt reads. We finally had a warm enough day for him to wear this to school. His teachers got a kick out of it. Thank you Aunt Jen and Becky for the cute shirt. Oh, and by the way, I'm lucky that Mason likes to share what he does at preschool. I'm impressed with how well he recalls what they did. He absolutely loves preschool, which is such a wonderful blessing. Tim and I are so happy that we got him into such a wonderful preschool with such wonderful teachers. I hope that these first school experiences will have a lasting impression on Mason and that he will continue to love school and learning.

Apple Orchard

What a beautiful day for picking apples. Mason loves to pick the first apple so that he can taste it and make sure that it is yummy enough. By the time we were finished picking, he had eaten 2 and part of Spencer's. Spencer also loved the apples. I sat him in the grass to munch on one. He got mad when we took it away and we ended up giving him another a little later. Those 8 teeth, he has, are quite helpful when eating apples. I like to have these little traditions with our kids. And apple picking is something we look forward to every year.

Have You Forgotten?

It was 7 years ago today, that our country was attacked. I will never forget that day. I will remember where I was and what I was doing. It will forever be etched in my memory. As I go to the election booth on November 4th, I will be voting for the candidate that I believe would fight for our safety and would defend this country above all else. So if, God forbid, our country were to be attacked again, who do you want to be leading us? Please vote.
